Sea freight FAQ

What documents do I need for sea freight?

Documentation requirements vary by destination and cargo type, but typically include commercial invoice, packing list, customs declaration, and shipper/consignee details for the bill of lading. We assist you with all necessary customs and transport documents.

What is the difference between FCL and LCL?

FCL (Full Container Load) means you rent the entire container. LCL (Less than Container Load) means your goods share space with others.

If the cargo volume is ≥15 CBM, FCL is preferred, as the unit cost is lower and it reduces the risk of cargo damage and being affected by inspections of other shipments. For smaller volumes (just a few cubic meters), choose LCL, which is suitable for small-batch orders.

How to get ocean freight quote?

A quote requires the port of loading, port of discharge, commodity name, and volume/weight, along with whether it's FCL or LCL. Besides sea freight, local charges at origin apply—THC, document fees, customs declaration, etc. A full cost breakdown can be provided to avoid hidden fees.
