China-Vietnam

The China-Laos-Thailand (CLT) route runs south from Vientiane, crosses the border to Thailand at Nong Thai, and its Free Trade Zone, and continues to Bangkok.

The section within Laos uses the same 1.435-metre standard gauge track as China, which enables trains to cross the China-Laos border without delays. Cargo can be transported smoothly without changing carriages.
